Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program and currently licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physician Assistant. Physician Assistant /
Certification:
undefined Minimum 2 years' experience preferred in Orthopaedics or other surgical specialty All certifications must be current and complete prior to start date: Basic Life Support (BLS). DHEC and DEA license applications must be started prior to first day. Maintain a schedule of 36 total patient-facing hours per week.
Position Highlights:
Takes comprehensive history and performs physical examinations Assist with clinic, inpatient consults and OR Provide medical care for athletes on and off the field for multiple local high schools and USCL athletic programs. Deliver sideline and event coverage for athletic competitions and practices as needed. Staff the Saturday morning urgent care clinic. Provide primary medical treatment, patient management, and critical care, in collaboration with licensed Orthopaedics Attends and provides midlevel assistance as appropriate in the performance of high-risk procedures requiring specialized expertise; counsels families prior to, during, and/or after the execution of procedures, as required Utilizes current research and evidence-based decision-making in all clinical practice Initiates referrals to other health care providers, and/or consults with the attending physician or collaborating physician undefined Benefits & Resources for
