1581784 Apply Now Save Job Block Job Share with a Friend Print Erlanger is seeking an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in a nocturnist role supporting Cardiothoracic Surgery and Cardiology services. This position follows a 7 on / 7 off night shift schedule, offering a consistent rotation and strong work-life balance. This is a primarily cardiology-focused nocturnist position centered on clinical oversight and continuity of care during overnight hours. The provider will review, patient lists, including the cardiology floor list, the emergency department cardiology consult list, and the cardiothoracic surgery list and ensure continuity of care. Throughout the shift, the APP is responsible for monitoring patient status, responding to clinical changes, and supporting care decisions across these service lines. The role involves collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and other members of the care team to ensure safe and effective management until the day team returns. This position is designed to be supportive with a focus on oversight rather than procedural demand. The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable working independently overnight, has strong clinical judgment, and preferably has experience in cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, or a related acute care setting. Education, Training, & Experience Masters of Science in Medicine of a certified Physician Assistant program or Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with Acute Care Certification MSN required
