Job Description

Job Type Full-time Description Advanced Pain Care (APC) is a rapidly growing Healthcare Provider in Pain Management, Anesthesiology, Neurosurgery, Neurology, Behavioral Health and Rheumatology sectors, headquartered in Austin, Texas. We are a multi-site, multi-specialty practice with 4 Ambulatory Surgery Centers and 21 clinics across Texas. Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Pre-Admission Testing Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will coordinate the preoperative assessment and evaluation of the surgical patient; striving to integrate patient care across the continuum of health care services in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, families and patients.
Compensation & Benefits :
? Competitive pay starting at $125,000 annually ? Competitive benefits package with partial employer paid medical, dental & vision insurance, employer paid life insurance, 401k match and more! ? Desirable schedule Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm; no call, no weekends, no holidays!
Requirements Duties and Responsibilities:
? Ensure safe and effective Peri-operative assessment and care of surgical patients in collaboration with the Anesthesia department and surgeon ? Conduct a history and physical, order labs, ekg and x-rays. ? Effectively identify and evaluate the findings, while complying with anesthesia evaluation guidelines. ? Assess surgical patients for medical and anesthesia clearance, enhance and improve quality of care through the pre-surgical screening of surgical patients; including increasing efficiencies for day of surgery along with improved patient satisfaction.
Education and Experience:
? Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner of Physician Assistant Master's program ? Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Texas ? Current BLS certification required ? Minimum two years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
