Job Description

About the Role We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Neurosurgery team. The ideal candidate is a clinically strong, detail-oriented provider who thrives in a fast-paced surgical and clinical environment. This role includes a blend of inpatient, outpatient, and OR responsibilities, with opportunities for professional growth and autonomy. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments, histories, and physical examinations First assist in neurosurgical procedures as credentialed Manage pre-operative and post-operative care in both inpatient and outpatient settings Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising neurosurgeon Conduct follow-up visits, wound checks, suture removal, and patient education Coordinate diagnostic testing, imaging review, and referrals Participate in call rotation as needed Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely documentation in the EMR Qualifications Valid Texas license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant National certification (AGACNP, FNP with surgical experience, or NCCPA for PA) Minimum 1-2 years of neurosurgery, neurology, or surgical specialty experience preferred
BLS/ACLS
