The Orthopedic Physician Assistant (PA) assists the Orthopedic surgeons in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal conditions. The PA will practice under a supervising physician with responsibilities to include conducting patient evaluations, formulating treatment plans, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, assisting in surgeries, providing patient education, and managing post-operative care. They may also perform procedures like joint injections. RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION
Certification/degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.EXPERIENCE/SKILL SETS
Two years of PA experience in a primary care practice, or a relevant specialty practice preferred.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
(S): Current licensure as a PA-C by the State of Vermont. Certifications as an adult or family Physician Assistant by a national organization, which is recognized by the Vermont State Board of Medical Practice. Qualified to be credentialed by the BMH Medical Staff. Healthcare Provider CPR certification. DEA license. OSHA Category I- Tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues require use of techniques of Universal Precautions as evidenced with blood borne pathogens standards.

The listed range represents the pay scale reasonably expected for a successful candidate based on factors such as relevant experience, education, internal equity, and market competitiveness.
