Job Description

Washington Orthopedic Spine & Injury Center (WOSIC) is seeking a full-time office based Certified Physician Assistant with Orthopedic experience, to join our rapidly growing practice. The candidate will rotate between our 4 Seattle area offices. We are a well-established multispecialty clinic treating patients injured in accidents. We have many specialists providing comprehensive and coordinated care for accident victims. The majority of patients have spine and extremity related issues. We also have a large brain injury clinic. WOSIC provides imaging, diagnosis and treatment to include both non-surgical and surgical care. The clinic is privately owned and operated. The qualified candidate will practice autonomously, doing new patient evaluations, follow ups and post op visits, injections, imaging interpretation and coordinate patient care with direct supervision from the medical director and have access to a wide array of specialists as needed. The candidate must be comfortable with electronic health records and basic technology functionality. The practice does NOT manage chronic pain nor narcotics. There is no Emergency Room Call. There is no surgical assisting nor OR time.
Key aspects of position include:
  • Detailed history and physical examination of patients
  • Ordering and interpreting tests, treatments, and therapies within the scope of practice
  • Performing office based procedures to include injections with use of Ultrasound
  • Interpretation of imaging, to include plain x-rays, MRI and various scans and tests
  • Direct Supervisor is Medical Director
  • Prescribing medications, supplies, devices, and other home health needs post operatively
  • Instructing and counseling patients regarding the treatment plan & therapeutic regimes.
  • Documenting clear, concise, and accurate information regarding patient care in the medical record in a timely fashion
  • Provides education to patients, families, and significant others using established education materials
  • Serving as the "quarterback" coordinating care between different specialists, in conjunction with Medical Director
  • Integrate evidence-based knowledge and clinical expertise in decision-making
  • Highly Competitive Salary commensurate with experience Requirements Education and Experience
  • Graduate of accredited Physician's Assistant Program.
  • Washington State and Oregon Licenses, Current. We can assist with this as needed.
  • Four years prior experience in orthopedics
  • Spine and extremity care experience preferred
