SPOKANE OBSTETRICS & GYNECOLOGY, P.S.
is a well-established obstetric and gynecologic private practice with over 50 years of history in the Inland Northwest. Our goal is to provide excellence in healthcare and empower patients with evidence-based medicine. This position will provide comprehensive healthcare to women across all stages of life, including routine gynecological exams, prenatal and postnatal care, family planning, managing common gynecological conditions, and providing patient education on reproductive health, all under the supervision of an OB/GYN physician; essentially focusing on women's reproductive health needs throughout their lives Patient assessment and diagnosis: Conducting thorough patient histories, performing physical exams, interpreting lab results, and diagnosing gynecological conditions like infections, menstrual irregularities, and sexually transmitted diseases.
Prenatal care:
Managing prenatal appointments, monitoring fetal health, providing education on pregnancy and childbirth, and coordinating with other healthcare providers as needed.
Postnatal care:
Assessing postpartum recovery, providing guidance on breastfeeding, managing postpartum complications, and scheduling follow-up appointments.
Family planning:
Counseling patients on contraceptive options, inserting and removing Nexplanon intrauterine devices (IUDs), and managing contraceptive management.
Gynecological procedures:
Performing routine Pap smears, colposcopies, biopsies, and other minor gynecological procedures.
Patient education:
Providing comprehensive information on reproductive health topics like menstruation, menopause, sexually transmitted infections, and cancer screening.
Medication management:
Prescribing medications within their scope of practice and managing patient medication regimens.
Collaboration with other healthcare professionals:
Maintaining open communication with the OB/GYN physician, nurses, and other specialists to ensure coordinated patient care. Qualifications for an
OB/GYN PA
Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program National Physician Assistant Certification State licensure as a Physician Assistant Strong understanding of female reproductive health and gynecology preferred Experience in a women's health setting preferred
