ASAP Details of Assignment:
  • Need a physician willing to be a collaborating/supervising physician to NPs in the state of Alabama for this client (up to 4-6 NPs)
  • No prescribing, clinic duties, formal diagnosing, or call requirements
  • Minimum requirements to be a collab MD in Alabama should include:
  • Must meet educational requirements set by ABME to enter collaborative agreement
  • Must complete required Continuing Education courses
  • Maintain direct, continuous, and close supervision of APP
  • Physician must be readily available for direct communication, phone, or telecommunication for the APP for consultation.
  • Must participate in Quality Assurance Responsibilities (reviewing medical records adverse outcomes, etc)
START:
ASAP once credentialed
LENGTH:
At least a 6 month commitment with likelihood of extending
Minimum Experience and Certification Required:
  • Must have an active, unrestricted AL state license and practicing in AL
  • Must
LIVE IN ALABAMA
  • Highly prefer to have hospice, palliative, or geriatric medicine experience
  • Must have experience in primary care
  • Must be board certified/eligible in either IM or FM (if eligible, must have proof of board eligibility such as confirmed board exam test date)
  • DEA required
