Physician Assistant - Sports Medicine OrthoArizona - 2.8 Chandler, AZ Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Benefits Health savings account Paid holidays Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications CPR Certification BLS Certification Advanced practice provider Physician Assistant License PA-C Full Job Description Physician Assistant - Shoulder, Elbow, Knee surgery & Sports Medicine (Clinic-Based) About the Practice Join the high-volume, mature sports medicine and shoulder, elbow, and knee practice of one of the valleys premier orthopedic surgeons and member of OrthoArizona. This is a 100% office-based role with only occasional first-assist surgical duties . The practice operates on a standard 40-hour work week dedicated exclusively to patients with shoulder, elbow, and knee conditions. There is no inpatient rounding or after hours/weekend call responsibilities. This provider's diverse, high-profile patient base spans all ages and includes high school, collegiate, and professional athletes, as well as specialized concierge surgical clientele. Autonomy and clinical independence are mandatory for this role. This is a highly experienced, team-oriented practice with highly efficient coordination and teamwork between physician, MA's, schedulers, and scribes. The ability to work with team members is critical.
Key Responsibilities Independent Clinics:
Manage your own patient schedules and run independent clinics.
Clinical Care:
Perform comprehensive new patient and established patient histories, physical exams, imaging reviews, diagnostic and treatment plan implementation for patients with shoulder, elbow, and knee pathology.
Procedures:
Administer joint injections. Ultrasound guided injection experience preferred but not required.
Care Coordination:
Assist scribes, medical assistants, and schedulers with pre-operative surgical clearance review and patient optimizations and provide continuity of care between physician visits.
Position Highlights Schedule:
40 hours per week. Clinic only. No hospital rounding.
On-Call:
None / clinic-focused triage only.
Locations:
Chandler Village (Chandler) and Pima Crossing (Scottsdale). Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with NCCPA certification. Active Arizona State License and CPR certification.
Preferred:
3+ years of PA experience in a high-volume, busy orthopedic practice. Must possess the confidence and capability to practice with a high degree of autonomy.
