Schedule:
1099 Government Contractor position Long-term contract up to 1 year with extension options Monday-Friday schedule, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with one-hour lunch break 40 hours per week plus call coverage Weeknight call/standby & Weekend 24-hour call/standby coverage required Inpatient and Outpatient OB/GYN coverage required 2-3 years of OB/GYN experience required Previous Locum Tenens experience preferred Experience with both obstetric and gynecologic care required Adult and adolescent patient population Work on any active U.S. license IHS facility serving an underserved community

What You'll Do:
Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient OB/GYN care Perform routine gynecologic exams, prenatal care, and women's health visits Manage labor and delivery, postpartum care, and inpatient OB services Participate in shared OB/GYN call rotation including nights and weekends Evaluate and treat acute and chronic gynecologic conditions Perform deliveries and OB/GYN procedures within scope of practice Collaborate with nursing staff, primary care providers, and specialty teams Maintain timely and accurate medical documentation Educate patients on preventive care, reproductive health, and treatment plans Follow all facility policies and quality standards Additional Duties Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed. IHS Requirements:
Strong clinical, diagnostic, and decision-making skills Ability to work in high-stress, fast-paced environments Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems Commitment to continuous learning and professional development Must be a U.S. citizen residing primarily in the
United States Qualifications:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Completion of an accredited OB/GYN Residency Program required Minimum 2 years of OB/GYN clinical experience Experience in inpatient, outpatient, labor & delivery, and cesarean sections required Board Certified or Board Eligible through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology required Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory required Current, unrestricted DEA license required Current BLS/CPR, ACLS and NRP required Must meet all IHS credentialing, onboarding, and background check requirements Must provide required immunization records and fitness-for-duty clearance prior to start Strong communication, documentation, and basic computer skills required Ability to work respectfully within Native American and underserved communities preferred
