The Opportunity SAMGI is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join a collaborative orthopedic trauma program in Mesa, Arizona. This position supports a high-acuity trauma center and offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced orthopedic trauma team in a well-supported, hospital-based environment. Schedule 183 shifts annually (24-hour shifts) Blocked scheduling with 7 day stretches Built-in recovery time between rotations Job Duties - What You'll Be Doing Provide operative and non-operative management of orthopedic trauma patients Participate in trauma call coverage at a high-volume trauma center Manage complex fracture care, including pelvic and acetabular injuries Collaborate with trauma, ICU, and emergency medicine teams Balance operative cases with inpatient care and follow-up clinic responsibilities Program Highlights Work alongside an additional Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon Dedicated orthopedic trauma and acute care surgery coverage model Structured schedule designed for sustainability and consistency Requirements - What We Look for in You Board Eligible or Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma Experience managing high-acuity trauma cases, including pelvic and acetabular fractures preferred Eligible for Arizona medical licensure Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation package Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) CME allowance Malpractice insurance with tail coverage Paid onboarding and credentialing support Location Mesa, Arizona offers access to the greater Phoenix metropolitan area, with year-round outdoor recreation, strong communities, and a high quality of life in the Sonoran Desert.
