Job Description
LifeHealth, LLC, a federal government contract company is seeking a special Psychiatrist with a doctorate-level degree (Ph.D.) or a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.

Arizona:
Kayenta, Chinle, and Page, Arizona. Position Summary This position is both clinical and administrative and works to support across multiple locations in Arizona. The position is full time from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday with Saturday and Sunday off duty within one of the locations specified above, being positioned in alignment with need and service request for the duration of the two-week on period. The position will allow for two weeks of on-time work followed by two weeks of being off-duty. On-time work may be assigned to any clinical location, in which you will be expected to both orient and obtain security privileging. As locations do require two weeks on duty, if not feasible to travel home at weekends or at end of day, accommodation including hotel and rental car can be provided. Psychiatrists will act as independent contractors (1099) with LifeHealth, LLC and must have a FEIN. In this role, you will: Utilize specialized training to support the treatment and/or counseling of patients in individual and group settings to include the following:- Provides a full range of psycho-diagnostic services including assessment and the most appropriate psychotherapeutic techniques in providing quality care
- Responsible for identification of patent problems requiring consultation with other multi-disciplinary medical staff and making appropriate referrals
- Performs psychiatric evaluations for a diverse patient population who are mentally challenges including psychosocial issues including but not limited to homelessness, unemployment, substance abuse or the lack of personal/family support network.
- Assures the appropriate referrals to specialty programs including community resources are accomplished including by not limited to other programs/clinics (ie: Mental Health Clinic, Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Programs, Neuropsychology, PTSD Clinic, Mental Health Intensive Case Management, Compensated Work Therapy, Homeless services or Vocational Rehabilitation).
- Provides a full range of therapeutic interventions to units/programs in facilities to which the psychiatrist is assigned and has clinical privileges to practice including diagnostic assessment, medication evaluating and management, suicide risk assessments, crisis intervention, and overall care of patients with psychiatric disorders including depression, anxiety, psychosis, PATSD, substance abuse, cognitive impairment such as traumatic brain injury (TB(, and other psychiatric disorders in various clinic settings • Active participation and collaboration with other multidisciplinary professionals in treatment planning which enhances coordination of comprehensive patient care.
- Orders diagnostic tests and consultations and discriminates between normal and abnormal findings and make appropriate treatment diagnosis
- Performs on call duties as required and/or other related duties as assigned Psychiatrists carry out the full range of work in their specialized area and are professionally responsible for the soundness and validity of their recommendations, reports, and services.
Qualifications:
Psychiatrist:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with current, unrestricted, clean, and active license to practice their specialty in the state in which they practice under this Agreement. The degree qualification must have been obtained from an Institute whose accreditation was in place for the year in which the course of study was completed. Psychiatrist with current, unrestricted license to practice as a Psychiatry in the state in which they practice under this contract, Arizona. License must be active, clean, and unrestricted. a.Active License:
A professional license that meets the requirements as defined by the applicable state professional board to authorize the regular practice of medicine and/or related health field in the state in which services are performed. b.Clear License:
A professional license that is not disciplined in any capacity nor for any professional misconduct that negatively impedes ability to practice freely. c.Unrestricted License:
A professional license that must be free from any current condition, sanction, prohibition, limitation, temporary restriction, full restriction and/or monitoring within allowed scope of practice defined by professional state board or the Federal government. Degree of Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy must have been obtained from an institute whose accreditation was in place for the year in which the course of study was completed.Approved schools are:
- Schools of medicine accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) for the year in which the degree was granted, or
- Schools of osteopathic medicine approved by the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association for the year in which the degree was granted.
- For foreign medical graduates not covered in (1) or (2) above, facility officials must verify with the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) that the applicant has met requirements for certification, and must obtain a copy of the ECFMG certificate for the year the candidate graduated.
Approved schools are:
- Schools of medicine accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) for the year in which the degree was granted, or
- Schools of osteopathic medicine approved by the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association for the year in which the degree was granted.
- For foreign medical graduates not covered in (1) or (2) above, facility officials must verify with the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) that the applicant has met requirements for certification and must obtain a copy of the ECFMG certificate for the year the candidate graduated.
Residency Training:
Physicians must have completed residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty-training program leading to eligibility for board certification. (NOTE:
VA physicians involved in academic training programs may be required to be board certified for faculty status.) Approved residencies are:- (1) Those approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), or
- (2) Those approved by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or
- (3) Other residencies (non-US residency training programs followed by a minimum of five years of verified practice in the United States), which the local Medical Staff Executive Committee deems to have provided the applicant with appropriate professional training and believes has exposed the physician to an appropriate range of patient care experiences.
Additional credentialing requirements:
- Must be a United States citizen
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Psychiatrists.
- Must obtain and maintain current certification in American Heart Associated Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers; American Heart Associate health care provider course; American Red Cross CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) for the professional rescuer; or equivalent within thirty days of employment.
- Completion of a favorably completed and adjudicated National Agency Check with Local Agency and Credit Check (NACLC) with completion of SF86 as part of full credentialing and security privileging for each of the above locations, including additional security requirements for clinics within a clinic, as described by corresponding clinic location.
- Must have active, unrestricted Driver's license, proof of citizenship, and clean background check
- Completion of credentialing utilizing VetPro for each facility
Competencies:
- Minimum of Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with current, unrestricted, clean, and active license to practice their specialty in Arizona
- Detail-oriented, analytical
- Ability to work independently and with others
- Extremely organized with strong time-management skills
- Critical problem-solving
- Proficient with computers to include mastery of presentation programs and MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Education and/or
Experience:
(includes certificate & licenses)- Unrestricted ability to practice Psychiatry in Arizona.
- Preferred 5 years of clinical experience
- Preferred experience and certifications with PTSD and MST Compensation Compensation is paid via a daily rate of $1400.
