Role Description This contract Interventional Cardiologist role is an on-site position located in Arizona. The clinician will perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and stent placements in the cath lab. Daily responsibilities include evaluating and managing patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions, interpreting imaging and diagnostic studies, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop evidence-based treatment plans. The role also involves taking call as needed, participating in quality and safety initiatives, documenting care in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards, and communicating clearly with patients, families, and clinical staff. Qualifications Strong foundation in clinical medicine, including completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship training in Cardiology. Advanced expertise in Cardiology, with demonstrated experience managing complex cardiovascular conditions in inpatient and procedural settings. Proficiency working in a cath lab environment, including familiarity with cath lab workflows, equipment, and safety protocols. Specialized skills in Interventional and Interventional Cardiology procedures such as PCI, angiography, and related minimally invasive interventions. Board certification or board eligibility in Interventional Cardiology (or equivalent), with an active, unrestricted MD or DO license (or ability to obtain) in Arizona State. Current ACLS and BLS certifications, with a strong commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to work effectively within a multidisciplinary care team and with diverse patient populations. Previous experience in a hospital-based interventional cardiology role is strongly preferred; familiarity with electronic health record systems is beneficial.
