Job Description

With significant independence, provides Senior Administrative Support to Pathology faculty. Resolves complex routine inquiries utilizing knowledge of policies and procedures. Compiles and analyzes information for inclusion in reports or presentation materials; prepares charts, graphs, or tables as necessary. Prioritizes projects for completion with only limited supervision, typically receiving only general instructions. As a successful candidate, you will: Compile information and prepare reports and records. Manage an active Pathology faculty calendar. Make appointments and travel arrangements. Screen visitors and telephone calls. Read and route incoming mail. Attend staff meetings and record minutes. Compose and route routine correspondence. Prepare confidential and special reports, including periodic statistical reports. Train and direct clerical staff as needed.
Your qualifications should include:
High school diploma or GED, some vocational/specialized training. Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements 3-5 years responsible secretarial or clerical experience in a professional environment. Prior academic medicine experience preferred. Experience in administrative roles within a pathology department is highly desirable.Additional Information:
