Job Description Join a dynamic inpatient facility located in the heart of Eureka, CA, and provide essential obstetric coverage on a locum tenens basis. This urgent position involves a 24-hour beeper call for two consecutive days. The role requires quick response times, with a focus on both routine and complicated obstetric cases. Key Details

  • Be available on-call to handle both routine and emergency obstetric cases.
  • Provide care for low and high-risk pregnancies, delivering babies via vaginal delivery or C-section as needed.
  • Perform necessary obstetric procedures, including the management of breech births, multiple births, and other complicated delivery scenarios.
  • Conduct routine office and minor gynecological procedures as required. Qualifications
  • Active California medical license required.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Required certifications:
BLS, NRP.
  • Demonstrated experience in a hospital setting, with the ability to provide a CV showing at least two years of current activity in the specialty.
  • Strong skills in miscarriage management and FHR interpretation. Working Hours

June 12th and June 13th, 7:00 AM
  • 7:00 AM Skills
  • Proficiency in managing both low and high-risk pregnancies.
  • Expertise in interpreting fetal heart rate monitors and conducting OB ultrasounds.
  • Ability to perform routine and complicated deliveries, repair 3rd and 4th-degree lacerations, and handle various gynecological procedures.
  • Strong decision-making skills, especially concerning C-sections and other surgical interventions.
  • Excellent communication and response skills, ensuring a 30-minute response time if physically required at the facility.
