Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Physician to join our dynamic home healtth based Hospice agency team. This vital role involves delivering comprehensive patient care across a variety of clinical settings, ensuring the highest standards of medical excellence and compassionate service. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of clinical expertise, including experience with EMR systems, critical care, emergency medicine, and outpatient services. You will play a key role in diagnosing, treating, and managing patient conditions while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize health outcomes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through proactive health management and innovative medical practices. Responsibilities Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine diagnoses and treatment plans. Manage acute and chronic conditions utilizing advanced clinical skills, including airway management, pain control, and critical care procedures. Perform diagnostic evaluations using medical imaging, laboratory tests, and other tools; interpret results accurately within the context of patient health. Administer medications, injections—including botulinum toxin treatments—and perform procedures such as suturing, dermal fillers, spinal taps, and dermabrasion. Coordinate patient care through effective discharge planning, follow-up appointments, and collaboration with specialists in areas such as cardiology, infectious disease care, geriatrics, pediatrics, and hospice & palliative medicine. Maintain detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations using EMR systems like Epic or Cerner; ensure accurate coding with
CPT, ICD-9/10
standards for billing and documentation purposes. Participate in clinical research or clinical trials to advance medical knowledge; contribute to data collection efforts for quality improvement initiatives. Engage in telehealth consultations and provide urgent care or outpatient services within hospital or clinic environments. Support infection control protocols and adhere to safety standards during all procedures; utilize aseptic techniques diligently. Skills Extensive experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks; proficient in medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10). Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Skilled in performing invasive procedures including catheterization (cardiac or urinary), spinal taps, dermal fillers, dermabrasion, tube feeding management, and ventilator support. Proficient in airway management techniques and ventilator operation; experienced with ICU or Level I/II trauma center settings. Capable of managing complex cases involving acute pain management, dialysis procedures, IV infusion therapy, phlebotomy, and post-acute care. Familiarity with hospital experience across various departments such as
ICU, PICU
(Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), NICU (Neonatal ICU), or emergency medicine environments. Knowledgeable about public health principles; experienced in infection control practices and occupational health protocols. Demonstrated ability to participate in clinical research or public health initiatives; comfortable working within teaching hospital settings or outpatient clinics. Excellent patient care skills with a focus on triage assessment, discharge planning, family education, and health coaching.
