This vital role involves providing high-quality medical care to diverse patient populations within a variety of clinical settings. As a Medi-Cal approved provider, you will play a key role in delivering accessible, compassionate, and comprehensive healthcare services while ensuring compliance with Medi-Cal regulations and standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through expert medical practice and patient-centered care. Duties Conduct thorough medical evaluations, including physical examinations and diagnostic assessments, to determine patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans. Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic and EMR systems to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently. Perform specialized procedures relevant to your certification, such as suturing, wound care, or diagnostic radiology assessments. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across inpatient and outpatient settings to coordinate care, discharge planning, and follow-up services. Manage acute and chronic conditions with evidence-based interventions, including medication management, health coaching, and preventive care strategies. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality and secure handling of medical records. Participate in clinical research or quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and uphold NCQA standards. Skills Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and clinical evaluation techniques across various specialties including psychiatry, cardiology, endocrinology, neurology, pediatrics, and more. Proficiency with EHR systems such as Epic and other EMR platforms for documentation, order entry, and patient data management. Experience performing procedures like catheterization, neurocritical care assessments, interventional radiology techniques, or ultrasound imaging. Strong understanding of hospital medicine protocols, inpatient care procedures, ICU experience, and post-operative management. Ability to conduct comprehensive patient assessments in diverse environments including hospital settings, nursing homes, or outpatient clinics. Familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes and ICD coding for diagnoses documentation. Excellent patient service skills combined with compassionate communication to support behavioral health needs such as PTSD care or dementia care.
