Psychiatrist El Dorado County Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF)
Location:
Placerville Overview We are seeking a Psychiatrist to join the team at the Telecare El Dorado County Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF), a 16-bed locked inpatient hospital providing acute psychiatric care to adults (18+) with serious mental illness. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, mission-driven environment delivering high-impact care to a vulnerable population. Both Independent Contractor and W-2 Employee options are available, offering flexibility based on your preferences. Position Highlights Full-time schedule Adult inpatient psychiatric setting 16-bed PHF with strong interdisciplinary support 8-12 ppd Collaborative team including nursing, therapists, and case management Flexible engagement: 1099 or W-2 options available Competitive compensation Job Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses Develop and manage individualized treatment plans Provide medication management and ongoing clinical care Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care Complete timely and accurate documentation Participate in treatment team meetings and care coordination Qualifications MD or DO, Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry Active or eligible for California medical license DEA license (active or eligible) Experience in inpatient or acute psychiatric settings preferred Strong clinical and communication skills Schedule Full-time schedule Specific shift structure to be discussed based on availability and facility needs
