Job Summary:

Riverside Community Hospital in Riverside, CA, is seeking a second Chief Resident for the 2026-2027 academic year. We are an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency program featuring on-site subspecialty fellowships in Cardiology, Gastroenterology, and Pulmonology-Critical Care. Our facility is a 547-bed Level 1

Trauma Center, Chest Pain Center, and Comprehensive Stroke Center Qualified Candidates:

Successful completion/graduation at an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program and is in good academic standing by June 30, 2026. The candidate must not currently be engaged in a Match agreement with another program through the 2026 Match cycle. Active BLS and ACLS certification is required. Active California Medical License and DEA License is required. Must be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine.

Responsibilities:

This PGY4 Chief Resident/Junior Faculty position emphasizes leadership development and clinical education. Administrative responsibilities include co-managing the didactic curriculum, resident scheduling, and participating in program recruitment and interviews. Clinically, the Chief Resident functions as an attending physician for inpatient teaching teams. Supervise residents and students in the primary care outpatient internal medicine clinic Supervise residents and students on the inpatient ward service Teach residents in formal didactic settings, including morning report, simulation lab, and board review lecture series
