Bridge Medical Neurology Consultants is a comprehensive neurology practice that offers in-depth and personalized consultations and advanced in-house neuro-diagnostic procedures for the management and treatment of a range of conditions. Dr. Said Ibrahimi, M.D. Q.M.E, has over 14 years of experience as a leading board-certified neurologist with a subspecialty in Brain Injury Medicine, tending to his expansive cohort of Adult patients, and additionally providing care for Personal Injury (P.I.) and Worker's Compensation cases. With his extensive training and sub-speciality, Dr. Ibrahimi specializes in the treatment and management of conditions such as strokes, TIAs, dementia, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's Disease, epilepsy, nerve and muscle dysfunction, and many more. As a Qualified Medical Examiner (Q.M.E.) Dr. Ibrahimi also offers medical-legal services such as Independent Medical Examinations, and Expert Witness Review.
About Symphony Health:
Symphony Health is an expansive Internal Medicine Practice that acts as a medical hub for patients from around the Bay Area. Our patient base ranges anywhere from Comprehensive Visits, Annual Check Ups, Pre-Operative Clearances, and Injury Cases. Dr. Waheed Ibrahimi has over 13 years of experience in his field, and also sees Adult Patients, including those on a PI/Lien and Worker's Compensation basis.
Job Description:
We are looking for a hard working Insurance and Authorization Specialist to join our office and assist in the communicative and verification efforts of our Neurologist, Dr. Said Ibrahimi, and our Internist, Dr. Waheed Ibrahimi. It is preferable that the candidate posses good communication skills (writing, typing, and phone etiquette), and some basic knowledge on insurance verification, authorization, and healthcare policies and procedures (not necessary that the experience be in a Neuro-focused or PCP-focused setting, but it is a bonus) New graduates who are eager to learn and gain experience are welcome to apply, we will provide on-site and hands-on training!
Responsibilities:
Inputting prior authorizations for in-office visits (office visits, diagnostics testing, imaging) Medication prior authorizations Inputting prior authorizations for external-office visits (office visits, diagnostics testing, imaging, referrals) Verifying insurances for upcoming appointments. Patient communication regarding any discrepancies in authorizations or insurance. Answer phones, emails, faxes, and other modes of communication regarding authorizations, referrals, insurance, and medications. Handle denials and appeals procedures. Keep track of and facilitating inter-speciality and radiology referrals initiated by our physicians and mid-level providers.
