Job Description

Occupational Medicine opening in Santa Maria, CA Located 30 miles from San Luis ObispoWe are a leading occupational medicine clinic focused on reducing healthcare costs and improving employee productivity. We provide urgent and appointment-based care for work-related injuries and illnesses, along with tailored rehab programs to support timely returns to work. As a Staff Physician, you will enhance the patient experience by delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. You will manage patient flow, provide compassionate treatment, and communicate care plans effectively.
Benefits Details Salary range:
$200,000 - $300,000 per year Compensation is based on education, qualifications, and experience and may change based on internal and external factors Position Details Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, manage work restrictions, and support safe return-to-work plans Conduct and interpret OSHA, DOT, fitness-for-duty, and return-to-work exams Order labs, imaging, and referrals; prescribe medications as necessary Perform minor procedures such as wound care and foreign body removal Communicate treatment plans, test results, and follow-up instructions to patients, employers, and clinical staff Ensure a smooth patient flow by coordinating with clinical staff and minimizing wait times Maintain accurate, timely documentation in patient records and EMR Provide support and supervision to clinical staff, including Physician Assistants, as needed Respond effectively to emergencies and perform stabilization when required Uphold HIPAA compliance, infection control, and safety protocols Job duties may change to meet clinic needs Position Requirements Strong analytical and clinical skills Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented Collaboration skills Ethical conduct Thoroughness MD or DO with unrestricted California license DOT certification required (or must obtain within 30 days of employment) BCLS, CPR, and AED certified; DEA and California drug licenses Knowledge of
OSHA, DOT
regulations, and EMR experience Experience in occupational medicine strongly preferred
