Katy TX, Summary:
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with implantable loop recorders, pacemakers, and other cardiac rhythm management devices. This role also requires familiarity with medical office operations, including electronic health records and patient scheduling.
Responsibilities:
Perform interrogation, programming, and troubleshooting of pacemakers, loop recorders, and other cardiac devices under physician supervision. Monitor and interpret remote device transmissions and generate reports for physician review. Assist with in-office device checks and documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). Educate patients on device care, remote monitoring, and follow-up protocols. Coordinate with cardiologists and other clinical staff to ensure timely and accurate patient care. Maintain accurate records of device data, patient interactions, and follow-up schedules. Support general medical office tasks such as scheduling, patient intake, and documentation as needed.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree, technical school certification, or college coursework in a healthcare-related field preferred. Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with cardiac devices (pacemakers, loop recorders, ICDs). Prior experience in cardiology or medical office setting strongly preferred. Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer skills. Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
