Job Description

DirectShifts is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Addiction Medicine Physician to join our team in providing high-quality care to patients struggling with substance use disorders in various locations in the state of Colorado.
Job Description:
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with substance use disorders, including alcohol, opioid, and other drug dependencies Provide comprehensive addiction treatment, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT), detoxification, and behavioral therapies Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations Prescribe and manage medications, ensuring safe and effective use Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services Educate patients and their families about addiction, treatment options, and recovery resources Maintain accurate and detailed medical records Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in addiction medicine through ongoing professional development
Qualifications:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Addiction Medicine or a related specialty Valid medical license in Colorado State Experience in addiction treatment and recovery services Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment Passion for helping individuals overcome addiction and achieve lasting recovery
