Job Description
Our client in Colorado is seeking a dedicated Neurological Surgeon for a 91-day assignment commencing May 1, 2026. This critical role involves working ongoing 24-hour shifts, providing expert care across a comprehensive range of adult and trauma neurosurgery cases. The successful physician will be instrumental in performing procedures such as tumor removal, brain bleed stoppage, trauma repair, shunt insertion or revision, and complex spinal surgeries like diskectomy, laminectomy, and spinal fusion. Responsibilities and Duties Adult and trauma Neurosurgery cases Tumor removal Brain bleed stoppage Trauma repair Shunt insertion or revision Cranial burr holes Intracranial pressure monitor or insertion of Intracranial hemorrhage Traumatic brain injury Neurocritical conditions Ventricular taps Ventriculoperitoneal shunt/taps/reprogramming Ventriculostomy Diskectomy Laminectomy Spinal fusion Spine stabilization and reconstruction Placement of arterial and venous access Administration of vasoactive or sedating substances Lumbar puncture Placement of lumbar drains CSF sampling from shunts or external ventricular drains EEG interpretation Management and interpretation of ICP and CCP data External ventricular drain management Application and management of hypothermia Additional Information Board Certification in Neurological Surgery is required EMR system used is Epic Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
