Job Description

Job description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Neurology Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our esteemed healthcare team in a unique dual clinical and research role. The ideal candidate will be proficient in diagnosing and treating neurological disorders, providing expert care to adult and geriatric patients in an outpatient setting, and participating part-time in neurologic clinical trials alongside an experienced research team. No prior research experience is required, and comprehensive training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities Neurological Examinations:
Conduct detailed neurological assessments to diagnose and treat conditions such as migraines, epilepsy, stroke, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson's disease.
Clinical Research Participation:
Assist with neurologic clinical trials, including patient evaluations, study visits, documentation, phlebotomy, vital signs, and coordination with the research team in accordance with study protocols and regulatory standards.
Treatment Planning:
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and current best practices.
Procedural Expertise:
Perform specialized procedures, including administering neurotoxin injections, as part of treatment regimens.
Collaborative Care:
Work closely with other healthcare providers to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.
Patient Education:
Educate patients and their families about neurological conditions, treatment options, and management strategies, providing ongoing support and resources.
Record Keeping:
Efficiently use electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient interactions, treatments, and progress.
Qualifications Certification:
Certified Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a focus or experience in Neurology.
Clinical Experience:
Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and treating neurological disorders in an outpatient setting.
Interpersonal Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficient in using electronic health record systems and other relevant medical software. Required Skills Experience in a neurology clinic. Ability to manage complex patient cases.
