Denver, CO 80mPosition Details Full-time, permanent Nurse Practitioner role on a cardiothoracic surgery team Provide advanced clinical care for cardiac and cardiothoracic surgery patients with a strong patient-first focus Assist in cardiac surgeries, including endoscopic vein harvesting and first assisting as needed Manage ICU and cardiovascular surgical patients across CVICU, inpatient floors, and clinic settings Participate in 2 full clinic days per week with additional clinic coverage as needed Rotate through operating room coverage Monday ÄìFriday Perform bedside procedures appropriate to the patient population Order, interpret, and evaluate labs and diagnostic studies Develop and implement plans of care and follow-up based on patient outcomes Prescribe medications in compliance with regulatory requirements Collaborate closely with surgeons, intensivists, physicians, and multidisciplinary care teams Provide timely, high-quality clinical documentation Function independently under physician supervision using advanced clinical judgment Adapt to a high-acuity, fast-paced clinical environment No locums or locums-to-perm candidates accepted Visa support not available Call Schedule Weekday call: 1:4 Äì5 rotation Weekend call: 1:4 Äì5 rotation In-house NP covers overnight call from 8:30pm Äì6:30am Requirements Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a Master Äôs degree in Nursing Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANP) Minimum 3+ years of cardiac or cardiovascular surgery experience with ICU patient management - Experience with endoscopic vein harvesting and first assisting required Active, unrestricted Colorado NP license (or ability to obtain) Unrestricted DEA license with full prescriptive authority BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross) Eligibility to bill Medicare and Medicaid No current or prior sanctions or exclusions Most recent NPDB self-query report (within 30 days) Permanent placement only Benefits Details Competitive annual salary range: $100,588 Äì$143,769 (based on experience) Eligibility for quality and productivity bonuses Relocation assistance for qualifying candidates Paid malpractice insurance Generous CME allowance 403(b) retirement plan with employer match and optional 457(b) Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance Wellness programs, HSA/FSA options, and voluntary benefits PTO starting day one plus paid family and medical leave Educational tuition assistance programs Community Details Colorado Springs offers access to the Rocky Mountains with exceptional outdoor recreation Strong community amenities, schools, and quality of life Ideal location for candidates seeking a balance of advanced clinical practice and an active lifestyle
