Our client, a highly regarded and well-established behavioral health organization, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Inpatient Psychiatrist to join their expanding team in Durham, Connecticut . This full-time, permanent role is ideal for a dedicated psychiatrist looking to provide high-quality mental health care within a structured inpatient setting. Durham is a classic New England town known for its scenic beauty, peaceful residential neighborhoods, and strong sense of community. Located conveniently between Hartford and New Haven, Durham offers a relaxed lifestyle with access to top-tier schools, outdoor recreation, and cultural attractions throughout the region.
Qualifications:
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution Completion of an accredited residency in Psychiatry Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry Eligible for or currently hold a Connecticut medical license Must be eligible to participate in Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal/state healthcare programs
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and treatment for patients Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary clinical teams, including nursing, social work, and therapy staff Participate in treatment team meetings and case reviews Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards Why Join?
