Schedule:
2 Days Per Week Cover multiple locations Clinical Details Should be comfortable working independently, managing consult volumes efficiently, and utilizing electronic medical records for documentation and care coordination Provide on-site outpatient neurology services within a facility, delivering scheduled clinic sessions and consultative care for incarcerated patients Responsibilities include evaluating and managing new and follow-up patients, developing treatment plans, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, and coordinating care with primary care, mental health, and nursing teams within the facility Document all encounters in the designated EMR, adhere to policies and security procedures, and support continuity of care through clear communication and follow-up planning May also include providing clinical guidance to onsite staff regarding neurological conditions and ensuring timely access to specialty care in alignment with institutional expectations All care is outpatient and non procedural within the prison clinic space
EMR:
Epic Support staff: Nurse Patients per day: 10 Requirements Board-certified or board-eligible neurologist with demonstrated experience providing comprehensive outpatient neurological care, ideally within correctional health, underserved populations, or resource-limited settings Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and managing a wide range of neurological conditions, including seizure disorders, stroke follow-up, neuropathies, and chronic neurodegenerative diseases Prior experience working in multidisciplinary environments, collaborating with nursing and correctional staff, and adapting care delivery to secure facility protocols is highly preferred
