Job Description

Organization Overview As a non-profit, community-focused healthcare organization located in New Haven, Connecticut , the facility is dedicated to providing advanced medical services while fostering innovation, education, and prevention. The organization offers a broad range of clinical services including emergency care, advanced imaging, minimally invasive surgery, and behavioral health services , ensuring comprehensive and coordinated care for the community. Providers work in a collaborative, patient-centered environment focused on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. Position Summary The facility is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Psychiatrist to join its behavioral health team in New Haven, CT . This full-time, permanent position provides a collegial work environment, flexible scheduling, and strong clinical support. The Psychiatrist will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and collaborative treatment planning in an outpatient setting that emphasizes quality care, teamwork, and professional growth. Essential Position Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide ongoing medication management and supportive psychotherapy. Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, and primary care providers to ensure continuity of care. Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives. Promote preventive mental health strategies and community wellness efforts. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system.
Qualifications Education:
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
Licensure & Certification:
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry; eligible for Connecticut medical licensure.
Experience:
Previous clinical experience preferred, but new graduates and residents are welcome to apply. Compensation and Benefits Highly competitive salary commensurate with experience.
