Job Description

Position Overview The Psychiatrist will provide direct psychiatric care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient behavioral health settings within the correctional facility. Responsibilities include psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, medication management, and ongoing care for individuals with a range of acute and chronic mental health conditions.

Schedule:
Monday Friday, 7:00am 3:30pm (40 hours/week)
Patient Volume:
6 10 patients per day
Compensation Pay Rate:
$8,000/weekly Clinical Scope Direct psychiatric care in a 7 bed inpatient behavioral health unit Outpatient psychiatric care for stable inmates in general population Management of severe mental illness, personality disorders, suicidality Possible involvement in emergency certificates, involuntary medications, and therapeutic restraints (case by case) Requirements MD/DO from accredited medical school Completion of an ACGME approved Psychiatry residency Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry Active CT medical license Active
