As a Gynecologic Oncologist, you will diagnose and manage various gynecologic cancers, working closely with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive treatment options. Your role is vital in ensuring patient-centric care, implementing advanced treatment plans, and contributing to ongoing research in oncology. This position promises a rewarding experience with professional development opportunities. Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients with gynecologic cancers. Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Counsel patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment options. Perform surgical procedures and collaborate with surgical teams when necessary. Engage in ongoing patient follow-ups to monitor treatment progress and adjust plans as needed. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss case management strategies. Stay updated on the latest advancements in gynecologic oncology. Contribute to clinical research and trials related to gynecologic cancers. Requirements MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Completion of residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Fellowship training in Gynecologic Oncology. Board certification or eligibility in Gynecologic Oncology. Strong clinical and surgical skills in gynecologic oncology practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday Call Requirement:
1:4 rotation, 1 week at a time
Caseload:
90% clinical, 10% administrative to start 2 OR days per week 3 robots available Will participate in a tumor board Clinical research and trial opportunities available Teaching and mentor opportunities available with Columbia University residents
EMR:
Epic Must be board-certified 5+ years of post-training experience preferred
