M-F 8a-4pABOUT THE ROLE
The Psychiatrist provides psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management for adults with serious and persistent mental illness residing in Conexio Care's licensed mental health group homes. This role supports resident stability, continuity of care, and reduced hospitalization through collaborative, recovery‑oriented psychiatric services.RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct Clinical Duties Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow‑up visits Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications Monitor medication effectiveness and side effects Provide on‑site psychiatric services at group homes Collaborate with nursing, residential, and clinical staff Support crisis response and hospital transitions Participate in involuntary medication hearings as needed Coordinate care with hospitals and medical providers Document services in the electronic health record Utilize MAT when clinically appropriateREQUIREMENTS
Licensure & Regulatory Authorized psychiatric prescriber in Delaware Active, unrestricted license and DEA registration Compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards Physician Pathway MD or DO Completed psychiatry residency Board‑certified or board‑eligible Experience 2+ years as a psychiatric prescriber preferred Experience with SPMI and co‑occurring disorders Residential or community mental health experience preferredADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills Ability to work collaboratively in a residential setting Crisis management skills EHR proficiency Valid driver's license Ability to meet physical and travel demands of group home visitsBENEFITS
