Bartow Regional Medical Center, part of BayCare Health System, is an acute care, not-for-profit hospital serving South Lakeland, Bartow, Ft. Meade, Mulberry, rural south Polk County and northern Hardee County. Physicians and healthcare professionals provide a variety of surgical services. The hospital is equipped with four surgery suites and two gastroenterology suites with procedures available through the hospital's outpatient services center. Community Information Bartow is located near the headwaters of the Peace River with over 400 lakes and streams, where one can explore lush parks and warm waters. The city offers a friendly community, low cost of living and plenty of options for public or private school education. Bartow is located in central Florida, close proximity to Tampa and Orlando.
