990633 Orlando Health St. Cloud Hospital is seeking a compassionate Palliative Medicine Physician to join our multidisciplinary Supportive & Palliative Care team. This role focuses on improving the quality of life for patients with serious illnesses by addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual needs through comprehensive symptom management and advance care planning.
Practice Highlights and Key Responsibilities:
Schedule is full-time Monday through Friday. No weekends. Provide expert consultation in palliative medicine for patients with complex, chronic, or life-limiting conditions. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and other team members to develop and implement individualized care plans. Conduct goals-of-care discussions and assist patients and families with advance directives and end-of-life planning. Manage symptoms such as pain, fatigue, nausea, anxiety, and dyspnea to enhance patient comfort. Support the hospitals mission to deliver patient-centered, holistic care.
Qualifications:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Completion of an ACGME accredited Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship program. Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Active Florida medical license or eligibility to obtain one. Minimum of 2 years of experience in palliative care preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and continuous improvement.
