Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Infectious Disease Physician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide expert diagnosis, treatment, and management of infectious diseases across inpatient and outpatient settings. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, utilizing advanced medical technologies, and contributing to clinical research initiatives. The physician will play a vital role in improving patient outcomes through comprehensive infectious disease care, including infection control and antimicrobial stewardship. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic and EMR systems is essential, along with a strong foundation in medical terminology and clinical evaluation. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and physical examinations Diagnose and treat a wide range of infectious diseases utilizing diagnostic radiology, laboratory results, and clinical evaluation Develop personalized care plans incorporating infection control protocols and medication management Collaborate with specialists in immunology, microbiology, pulmonology, and other related fields for comprehensive patient care Manage complex cases involving hospital medicine, ICU experience, post-operative care, and acute care settings Utilize advanced imaging techniques such as CT scans and nuclear medicine for diagnostic evaluation Participate in clinical research trials to advance infectious disease treatment options Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records in accordance with NCQA standards Provide telehealth services when appropriate to expand access to specialized infectious disease care Educate patients on disease prevention, immunizations, and health coaching strategies Experience Proven experience in infectious disease care within hospital or outpatient environments Familiarity with a broad spectrum of specialties including internal medicine, critical care, pulmonology, immunology, nephrology, cardiology, rheumatology, neurology, and geriatrics is preferred Experience with medical imaging (CT, nuclear medicine), interventional radiology procedures (vascular interventional radiography), catheterization techniques, and aseptic techniques is highly desirable Knowledge of CPT coding and ICD coding for accurate documentation and billing processes Prior involvement in clinical trials or research projects related to infectious diseases is advantageous Strong background in managing complex cases involving ventilator support, post-acute care planning, wound care, pain management, and infection control protocols This position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic healthcare environment dedicated to excellence in patient-centered infectious disease management.
