The Physician Liaison (Epilepsy & Neurodevelopmental Focus) will drive growth for our specialized pediatric programs. This role requires a nuanced understanding of the long-term care needs of children with seizure disorders and developmental delays, ensuring pediatricians referring to our practice as an essential partner in their patients' multidisciplinary care teams.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Outreach & Relationship Management:
Conduct 25-30 face-to-face office visits weekly to build trust with local pediatricians, family practitioners, and practice managers.Provider Education:
Communicate the practice's clinical capabilities, new treatments, and specialized equipment to referring offices.Epilepsy Program Promotion:
Educate referring offices on advanced neurodiagnostic capabilities, such as video EEG monitoring, and Long Term Monitoring.Developmental Outreach:
Market our multidisciplinary approach to developmental delays, ADHD, and autism.Event Coordination:
Arrange and represent the practice at healthcare events, networking sessions, and educational "lunch and learn" programs. Build and maintain relationships with existing referral sources. Create a roster of referral sources through in-person visits, cold calling, and other forms of communication. Develop concise data tracking methods that can be updated and shared easily. Tracking and reporting on performance measures and communicating on wins and losses. Demonstrate a strong understanding of neurological and developmental care when conducting field marketing visits and clearly represent PNES to prospective and referring providers. Acknowledge and demonstrate appreciation for referrals from providers and partners. Use existing PNES systems to enable referring offices to submit referrals to us securely if referring office does not have the above capabilities. Partner with executive committee and marketing director on key ideas and mediums to help develop new business and maintain established relationships. Utilize approved resources and messaging that complies with PNES policies.PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Adhere to professional dress code, appearance is neat and clean. Always keep patient information confidential. Report to work on time and as scheduled. Represent the organization positively and professionally. Comply with all organizational policies, and standards of behavior. Attend required meetings, training and in-services.QUALIFICATIONS
2 years of field marketing experience in healthcare. Adept at building relationships with referral sources in a highly specialized area. Experience calling on primary and family care and physician groups. Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required.REQUIREMENTS - CERTIFICATE / LICENSE
Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience in lieu of degree acceptable.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Assertive, professional and engaging when calling on physicians and practices. Dynamic with interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Ability to work autonomously. Knowledge of medical terminology.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Occasional lifting of files, supplies or paper weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires manual dextertity. Vision correctable to 20/20 and hearing in normal range for telephone contacts. Speak and write in English. Ability to handle stressful situations. Will require travel by personal vehicle and may travel by air and rental vehicles as needed. May require flexible working hours.Pay:
