Work Schedule:
This is a full-time, hospital-based position with primarily weekday daytime hours.
Typical start time:
7:30 a.m.
  • 8:00 a.
m. Responsibilities include rounding, consults, documentation, and care coordination Daily workflow may vary based on patient census, consult volume, and physician schedules
Call Schedule:
Call responsibilities are aligned with inpatient service coverage and rotate as follows: Week 1: Inpatient coverage with designated call day Week 2: Inpatient coverage with weekend call responsibilities Week 3: Inpatient coverage (rounding, consults, care coordination) Week 4: Inpatient coverage with designated call day Week 5: Inpatient coverage with designated call day Schedule subject to change based on physician needs. Pay Range $47.50

Scope of Practice:
This position is primarily hospital-based and includes: Conducting inpatient consults Performing comprehensive patient histories and assessments Daily rounding on hospitalized patients Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans Managing consults and coordinating care Participating in weekend and holiday rounding as assigned Supporting outpatient clinic care as needed
Patient Population:
The primary patient population includes adult inpatients, with occasional pediatric consults as clinically appropriate.

The selected candidate will complete a structured onboarding program that includes: Physician shadowing Inpatient workflow orientation Ongoing mentorship Training is tailored to experience level, with gradual increases in patient care responsibilities. Independent rounding and call duties will begin upon physician-approved competency. Performance evaluations will occur at 90 days, 6 months, and annually.
Requirements:
Licensed Physician Assistant DEA license required
