Physician Hospitalist - OB 77 consultants Davenport, IA Job Details Full-time 14 hours ago Qualifications Ob/Gyn Full Job Description We are seeking a full-time OB/GYN Laborist physician to join a well-established, high-volume team committed to delivering comprehensive inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care. This role offers a unique collaboration with community health clinics and midwives.
  • Position Overview:
  • Provide robust hospital support for a diverse patient population in a busy inpatient environment.
Collaborate closely with a federally qualified health center (FQHC) and midwifery partners to enhance patient care. Manage approximately 80 deliveries per month in a dynamic, supportive setting. Offer continuous in-house coverage for labor and delivery services, OB/GYN triage, and respond to emergency room consultations as necessary. Act as a regional referral resource for gynecologic patients. Conduct daily rounds on post-operative and postpartum patients to ensure optimal recovery. Engage in a collaborative care model designed to improve patient safety and bolster community health initiatives. Work within a multidisciplinary team that includes anesthesia specialists, NICU staff, and midwives. This position is dedicated, with no separate "doc call" responsibilities expected.
  • Qualifications:
  • - Board Certified in OB/GYN. - Possession of a valid Iowa medical license or willingness to obtain one. Submission of a recent NPDB Self Query Report (within the past 30 days) as part of the application. A history of clean malpractice claims is required.
  • Certification and License Requirements:
  • Current Board Certification in OB/GYN.
Active Iowa state medical license (or the willingness to secure an Iowa license).
