Emergency Medicine PhysicianLocation:

A critical access hospital is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to provide full-time coverage in a low-volume setting. This role includes both emergency department care and light inpatient responsibilities in a collaborative, small-team environment. $160/hr
Assignment Details:
Start:
June 14, 2026Ongoing coverage
Schedule:
24-hour in-house shifts (7:00 AM 7:00 AM)Approximately 3 shifts per monthOccasional 12-hour shiftsSleep room available during call

Critical Access HospitalEMR:
Epic (TogetherCare)3-bed Emergency Department20 inpatient beds (medical-surgical)Support from APPs, RNs, and CNA staffAccess to lab, imaging, pharmacy, and outpatient services
Patient Volume:
Approximately 4 ED patients per dayAverage inpatient census: 4 patients
Patient Population:
All ages
Responsibilities:
Provide emergency department coverageManage low-volume ED casesProvide inpatient care (observation and acute patients)Collaborate with multidisciplinary care team
Requirements:
Board Certified in Emergency Medicine or FP/IM with recent EM experience RequiredActive Iowa License RequiredClean malpractice/background RequiredNPDB Self-Query (within 30 days) RequiredMust be able to cover listed dates
