in a hospital Average of 2-5 nursery admissions per day 40% low-risk pregnancies, 60% high-risk pregnancies Percentage of C-sections depends on the physician

Support Staff :

Labor & Delivery team Postpartum, OR, ER staff 1-2 Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs)

Onsite Facilities :

Lab & Ultrasound available

CERNER Responsibilities:

Clinical Expertise :

Provide 24-hour OB/GYN care in a hospital setting Handle a mix of low and high-risk pregnancies Perform C-sections as needed Collaborate with support staff to ensure quality care in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Emergency services Assist with on-call duties for scheduled dates and potentially more as needed

Call Coverage :

Flexible call schedule, working 24-hour shifts, split between on-site and off-site availability depending on patient census Ability to cover additional shifts as the need arises due to physician shortages

Requirements:

Licensure :

Active and unrestricted Iowa medical license required

Certification :

Board-Certified/Board-Eligible in

OB/GYN Additional Certifications :

NRP required

Experience :

Prior experience with both low and high-risk pregnancies preferred
