The medical center holds Level III Trauma Center and Level III Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit designations, along with Accredited Chest Pain Center status, Joint Commission designations, Magnet Recognition, and BCBS Distinctions. These credentials reflect the institution's commitment to comprehensive, high-quality patient care. About the Facility Location Northeast Iowa offers a range of outdoor recreation opportunities, including hiking, biking, and scenic excursions across its landscape. The area also features dining options and local attractions that complement its natural surroundings, providing visiting clinicians with accessible leisure activities during their assignment. About the Clinician's Workday The hematologist/oncologist will provide inpatient hematology and oncology coverage during day shift hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Hospitalists manage patient admissions; the clinician is primarily responsible for fielding phone calls from hospitalists regarding hematologic and oncologic patients. Call coverage is negotiable, with a potential schedule of one week and one weekend per month, conducted via phone only. Board certification in Medical Oncology is required for this assignment.
