Family Practice Physician

Story County Medical Center is seeking a Family Practice Physician to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals and families across all ages. This role focuses on preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of medical conditions. You'll join a collaborative team committed to delivering high-quality care in a community-focused environment. What You'll Do Provide comprehensive care for patients of all ages, including wellness exams and diagnostic evaluations Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans Deliver preventive care, including vaccinations, screenings, and lifestyle counseling Perform employment, pre-operative, well-child, and annual physicals Participate in minimal rotational inpatient and skilled care call Collaborate with specialists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care Educate patients and families on health management and preventive care Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development

What We're Looking For Required:

MD or DO from an accredited medical school Licensed to practice medicine in Iowa Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine DEA registration BLS certification ACLS certification PALS certification Mandatory Reporter certifications

Preferred:

Previous experience in family medicine or primary care Key Skills & Strengths Broad clinical expertise across all age groups Ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions Strong communication and patient relationship skills Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Proficiency with EMR systems and healthcare technology Why Story County Medical Center?
