• Physician Rush Copley Medical Center Aurora, IL Rush Copley Medical Center , in Aurora, Illinois, part of the Rush University System for Health network of hospitals, invites applications for the position of Orthopedic Surgery Sports Medicine.

This position offers a balanced 50/50 split between outpatient clinical care and surgical intervention, providing the ideal environment for a surgeon who values both patient continuity and high-volume operative time.

Clinical & Surgical Scope Surgical Volume:

Perform 12-15 surgeries per week, with dedicated block scheduling from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Case Mix:

Diagnose and treat sports-related injuries, including ACL tears, rotator cuff injuries, and meniscus tears. Perform arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgeries.

Outpatient Clinic:

Average 20+ patients per day with a structured schedule (8:00 AM

• 4:30/5:00 PM) and a dedicated lunch hour.

Facilities :

Surgeries are performed at Rush Copley Medical Center or our state-of-the-art Ambulatory Surgery Center on Ogden.

This role includes:

Serving as a key physician for several local high school athletic programs and Aurora University . On-site coverage for 4-5 home high school football games per year. Work closely with athletic trainers, physical therapists, and other medical professionals to develop and implement treatment and rehabilitation plans. Schedule & Cal l

Call is shared with a skilled team of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), ensuring a manageable and predictable schedule. Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and Board Certification/Eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Completion of a Sports Medicine Fellowship.
• Open to new graduates with a strong clinical background and a passion for sports-related orthopedic care.
