General Cardiologist Physician

Overview Duties:

OSF Multi-Specialty Group seeks a General Cardiologist who will practice full-time in Galesburg and Monmouth, Illinois, both federally designated rural areas and primary care Health Professional Shortage Areas. The cardiologist will provide high-quality Cardiology care to OSF patients. Provide high-quality in-hospital care to the patients of the Practice and the OSF Hospital. Provide on-call availability to patients of the Practice and the OSF Hospital on weekdays and/or weekends as agreed upon by the parties. Maintains full and current patient medical records, including reports of all examinations, procedures, and other services performed by Cardiologist or other support staff. Demonstrates positive working relationships and demonstrates collaborative team-oriented behaviors with other departments, and other members of the medical staff. Assist in the direction and supervision of the daily operation, which may include supervising advanced practice providers, physician assistants (SOC Code 29-1071), nurses (SOC Code 29-1141), and advise the Ministry CEO concerning the recruitment, selection, retention, scheduling, and termination of non-physician personnel providing professional, technical, and clerical services to the Practice. Advise the Ministry CEO with respect to the selection, retention and termination of all physician-personnel and assist in the recruitment of physicians as are required for the proper operation of the Practice. Advise Ministry CEO in the selection, maintenance, and utilization of equipment in the Physician Employment Agreement. Full time, clinical base salary pay range for this position: $530,000--$582,082. Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of the position, overall experience and qualifications, community need, and other considerations. Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement. Qualifications Requirements :

M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent degree. Completed residency in Internal Medicine required. Completed Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease required. Illinois License to practice medicine is required. Board eligibility in Internal Medicine is required.
