  • Part-time Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pain Management Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team.
This job would be in Niles initially with initial training in Niles. In the future there would be opportunity to add locations in Berwyn, and downtown, in addition to Niles. This is a new role, and an evolving position that may grow with time.
FLEXIBLE HOURS.
It will start with 2-3 days/week growing as needed. with other locations if needed. This is an hourly 1099 position at least for the first year until a long term commitment is established. There will be a lot of autonomy and flexibility. The ideal candidate will have interest in acute and chronic pain management, including evaluations, f/u visits, and diagnostic evaluations.
NO NARCOTICS
need to be written.
NO CALL, NO ROUNDING, NO WEEKENDS.
Will train for the first month to help acclimate to pain management. If interested
  • will train basic PRP, joint, and trigger point injections to do eventually. Ideally having experience in interventional pain management and the various procedures is ideal
  • but not necessary as training is offered. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic clinical environment, providing comprehensive pain care across outpatient settings. NO Hospital rounding. NO call. Familiarity with EMR systems is not needed
  • as this will be taught. Given there are no benefits initially as it is 1099
  • possible bonus structures can be discussed.
The Physician Assistant will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care while adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical standards. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews using aseptic techniques. Manage acute and chronic pain conditions through medication administration, injections, nerve blocks, and other interventional procedures such as epidurals, RFA, joint injections, and interventional pain procedures
  • You will not be doing these
  • but may have opportunity to do trigger point injections and joint injections after training Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing medical imaging, lab results, and diagnostic coding (ICD-10, CPT) to develop effective treatment plans.
Document patient encounters accurately within electronic health records ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards. Assist in writing PT, MRI, XRays scripts and recommending injections and treatment plans for patients presenting with complex pain or chronic care needs. Provide patient education on pain management strategies, medication adherence, lifestyle modifications, and health coaching.•
NO NARCOTICS WILL BE GIVEN
Administer injections and perform procedures including trigger points and joint injections requiring aseptic technique while maintaining safety protocols. Contribute to discharge planning and follow-up care coordination for outpatient patients. Qualifications Valid Physician Assistant license with current certification; experience in pain management strongly preferred. Demonstrated a willingness to learn and adapt Proficiency with EMR systems
  • willing to teach Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology related to pain pathways and pharmacology for medication administration.
Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes. Strong patient assessment skills combined with the ability to perform diagnostic evaluations effectively. Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining high standards of patient care and confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines
