Lovell Federal Health Care Center (FHCC) loced in North Chicago, Illinois is the nion's only fully integred facility th supports Active Duty Naval service members, Naval recruits, and our nion's Veterans. Our mission is to 'Ready Warriors and Care For Heroes'. With this, we are actively seeking a highly qualified, board-certified Cardiologist to join our team. As a Staff Cardiologist FHCC, the incumbent will report to the Chief of Cardiology in the Medicine Service Directore and provide direct pient care. The incumbent will care for a broad range of age groups and conditions reled to Cardiology. This is a position for a Non-Interventional Cardiologist. FHCC provides inpient and outpient Cardiology care to Active-Duty military members, their families, Naval Recruits, and Veterans using various modalities of care including inpient consultions, ambulory clinic referrals, and Tele Health services. The incumbent will provide services including but not limited to examinions, consultive services, management of pient conditions, and applicion of office-based trements. As a teaching institution, incumbent required to educe and collabore with health professional trainees assigned to the Cardiology service and a minimum, hold a position of clinical instructor our academic affilie. Incumbent will actively participe in medical staff meetings, relevant committees, quality assurance programs, and assist our facility to meet established performance measures in Cardiology. Incumbent will perform chart reviews and coordine with other medical staff members regarding pient care issues.

Major Duties and Responsibilities :

1. Provide direct pient care specific to Cardiology in the ambulory clinic setting and inpient units 2. Provide timely screening and resolution of consultions from other disciplines 3. Provide a range of therapeutic interventions specific to Cardiology and have clinical privileges to practice including diagnostic assessment, medicion evaluion and management. 4. Order diagnostic tests and discrimine between normal and abnormal findings and makes approprie trement decisions. 5. Documention of care in the medical record in keeping with the Bylaws of the Medical Center Staff. 6. Provide supervisory oversight for health professional trainees who are assigned to the Cardiology Service. 7. Provide collaborion on the clinical care of Physician Assistants as approprie. 8. Participes effectively in team meetings and trement planning conferences and collabores with multidisciplinary team members in a manner th enhances coordinion of comprehensive pient care. 10. Ensures th the practice of medicine is consistent with Joint Commission, CARF, VA policies and procedures, clinical practice guidelines, VISN standards, nional stutes and regulions, medical record documention, mandory continuing educion, and HIPPA policies.

Physical Requirements:
