Job Description

Mercyhealth System in Rockford, Illinois, is currently seeking Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Hematology/Medical Oncologists to join our expanding Oncology program. This is an exceptional opportunity to help shape and grow a newly opened Cancer Institute within a stable, physician-led, fully integrated health system.

  • 750,000 Practice in the newly opened Cancer Institute (May 2025) located on the campus of Mercyhealth Javon Bea Hospital-Riverside Join a collaborative Oncology team including Hematology, Radiation, and Medical Oncologists Supported by Advanced Practice Providers, Oncology Nursing, Social Work, Manager, and Director leadership Outstanding referral network from primary care providers Physician-led, team-focused practice environment• Opportunity to grow patient volume and influence program development 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
Departmental Scope:
Comprehensive Cancer Institute with multidisciplinary collaboration Integrated oncology services across medical, radiation, and hematologic care Dedicated oncology support staff and care coordination Opportunity to shape service line growth within a regional referral hub
Qualifications:
MD/DO
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology Residency training from an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine program Excellent interpersonal skills with a team-based mindset Strong desire to build and expand patient caseload
Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range:
$575,000
