This on-site contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional medical care within the medical practice industry. As a Locum D Gastroenterologist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality healthcare services to our patients. Your expertise will help in diagnosing and treating a variety of gastrointestinal conditions while collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive gastroenterological care to patients Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care Document patient progress and treatment outcomes Educate patients about gastrointestinal health and wellness Stay updated on the latest advancements in gastroenterology Adhere to all clinical protocols and standards of care Requirements Medical degree with specialization in Gastroenterology Associate-level experience in a clinical setting Current medical license to practice in the state Strong diagnostic and procedural skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Commitment to patient-centered care Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Schedule:
7a-7p + overnight beeper call Level II trauma
Setting:
100% inpatient
Daily Volume:
4-5 new consults, 15-18 inpatients, 4 procedures ERCP and EUS required Must be comfortable with moderate sedation
Support Staff:
1-2 APPs Must teach
APPs EMR:
Epic Must be board-certified or board-eligible Paid travel & expenses
