Position Overview Harrison County Hospital is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join a collaborative, high-quality Emergency Department serving Southern Indiana and nearby Kentucky communities. As a not-for-profit acute care hospital, Harrison County Hospital is deeply committed to compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining efficient operations and strong specialty access
    Patient Volume:
    18,000 annual ED visits
      Specialties:
      Emergency Medicine
        Coverage Model:
        24-hour physician coverage, 10 hours/day APP coverage
          Number of Beds:
          Emergency Department (acute care hospital)
            Acuity:
            Consistent community ED acuity with efficient patient flow
              EMR:
              Cerner
                Procedures:
                Full-scope Emergency Medicine procedures
                  ICU:
                  Access to inpatient and specialty support via Norton Healthcare partnership
                    Admissions/Transfers:
                    Supported referral and transfer pathways through Norton Healthcare
                      Fellowship/Residency:
                      Emergency Medicine residency required
                        Moonlighting:
                        As approved per site and SCP Health policy
                          ICP Site:

                            Qualifications
                              Education:
                              MD or DO from an accredited medical school
                                Licensure:
                                Active Indiana medical license (or ability to obtain)
                                  Board Certification:
                                  ABEM or AOBEM (Board Eligible considered)
                                  • Emergency Medicine clinical experience required
                                  Badges:
                                  ACLS, BLS, PALS
                                  (as required)
