Locum Tenens Physician - Traumatic Brain Injury/General Medicine near Fort Wayne, IN We are seeking a Board-Certified Physician for a locum tenens opportunity near Fort Wayne, IN . This position involves conducting a combination of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) exams. This role is ideal for physicians who want to work in a non-treatment capacity, providing critical evaluations for Veterans. The position is PRN , meaning it will be on an as-needed basis, with flexible scheduling options available.

Responsibilities:
Perform a combination of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury exams for Veterans. Conduct non-treatment C&P (Compensation & Pension) exams and separation health assessments . Exams are interview-based , with some physical assessment required (eg, range of motion, muscle strength testing). Submit standardized Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) within 48 hours after completing each exam. No prescribing and no ongoing treatment required.
Schedule:
PRN basis with ongoing need for coverage.
Flexible scheduling options:
Option to work half days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours).
Two options for coverage:
Travel to perform exams at designated facilities. Schedule Veterans within your own practice .
Key Features:
No Emergency/Temp Privileges required. Fast credentialing and onboarding process. No narrative report writing only standardized forms (DBQs). Exams primarily focus on assessing physical abilities such as range of motion and muscle strength . Use of Goniometer required for range of motion testing. Familiarity with Musculoskeletal , Diabetes , and Cardio evaluations is preferred. Experience with METs testing and evaluating conditions related to respiratory , cardiovascular , and neurological systems is required. Physicians must use their own personal laptop (no Macs allowed).
Requirements:
Must be Board Certified in one of the following specialties: Neurology Neurosurgery PM&R (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation)
State License :
Active Indiana license required. Training on Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) will be provided. Must be able to submit final DBQs within 48 hours after completing the exams.
